Overview: The folks at Precor have again gotten it right with the introduction of the 964i model. The most recognizable Precor feature, the treadmill’s suspension system, has been modified and improved from the previous specifications to account for changes in incline and speed that result from normal use. Integrated Footplant Technology, or IFT, is designed to adjust belt speed according to rapidly changing factors such as pressure and location of the feet on the belt. The result of IFT is an immensely responsive belt that prevents many common treadmill injuries (such as slipping off of the back of the belt). The deck is reversible and requires no special lubricant. The 964i has it all in terms of the console, which features all of the basics as well as 10 programs, manual programming capability, technical and specialized readouts, and result reports.
